Nicki Lupton
Nicki is a Herefordshire based artist.
She works in porcelain and cut stencils to create the linear detail in her work. She comments:
"I enjoy colour and immediacy and so frequently apply glazes and oxides to add these elements. Sometimes though, I also need a little calm, I find that the unglazed porcelain offers this quality."
Nicki completed her BA honours degree in Contemporary Applied Art at Herefordshire College of Art and Design earlier this year (2007). She gained the Elmley Foundation Award for Outstanding Achievement in Higher Education.
